Small is beautiful.

There were some empty chairs at Christmas dinner today.
Remembering those who used to fill them and the joy they brought to the table.
My favorite holiday tradition is watching a corny Hallmark movie with the fam. We we add commentary throughout like we’re on an episode of Mystery Science Theater.
Watching my toddler “play” (smash keys) on a miniature piano was peak cuteness.
The fact that I wrapped up the last of my Christmas shopping on the 22nd... it means I'm getting better.
Spent the evening with the family in downtown old Sacramento. City felt alive.
Families, holiday cheer, and the smell roasted chestnuts. Doesn’t get better than that.

Later: I think I found a way to cross-post my HTML Journal to Mastodon. If you're reading this on Mastodon, then I've succeeded! Also, you should make an HTML Journal!
I want to contribute to the independent web. Social media never really clicked for me and many of its values are at odds with my own. I've never felt like I could be my authentic self. So, this journal is my attempt at learning to find my voice on the internet.
